Using the trial with an Xtream Codes style player
An Xtream login is three pieces of information: a server URL (the portal address, something like http://line.example.com:8080), a username, and a password. Players like TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, and Sparkle TV use those three fields to talk to the provider's API directly. That means your channel list, categories, VOD library, and EPG all load automatically — no separate guide source to configure, no playlist file to re-import when channels change.
An M3U link is different: it's one long URL that points at a static playlist file. It works almost everywhere, but the EPG usually has to be added as a separate XMLTV source, and updates mean re-downloading the whole list. Getting connected takes about two minutes:
